Hello!

Here we go, into our 6th week of class, and you all are doing a fabulous
job! Many thanks, too, to all the experienced dancers who have been
helping!

Last week we reviewed a number of calls and learned a few new ones:
centers in/out, 8 chain thru, and touch 1/4 (I think we did this,
someone let me know if I'm wrong).

There are definitions for these located at the end of this email.

I will be at the hall at 6:30 and available for review, if anyone is
interested.

Til tomorrow,
Bethany

CENTERS IN: Starting formation – where ever there is a couple with their
backs to the center of the set facing or standing behind another couple
(e.g., eight chain thru, completed double pass thru). The outside
dancers step apart as the centers step forward and between them to form
a line.

EIGHT CHAIN THRU (1–8 hands): Starting formation – eight chain thru.
Facing dancers join right hands and pull by (this completes an eight
chain one). The center facing dancers join left hands and pull by while
the outside dancers do a courtesy turn (this completes an eight chain
two). Repeat these actions in sequence to achieve eight chain three,
eight chain four, etc. Eight chain thru is the same as eight chain eight.

TOUCH 1/4: Starting formation – facing dancers. Dancers touch (step
forward and join right hands) and without stopping turn one quarter
(90°) by the right.
