Hi,

I just wanted to remind you of our contra dance this weekend, on
Sunday, Aug 20th. Here are the critical details:

7:30 - 10:30 pm
at The Life Center next to the Sacred Heart Church,
101 King Street (our normal venue).
Lisa Greenleaf calling to Crowfoot (Adam Broome, Jaige Trudel and
Nicholas Williams).

$8 per person

Everyone is welcome - no partner and no experience necessary - so you
can invite all your friends who
have never danced before.

We're hosting this dance to raise awareness that NoHo Squares exists
and to entice some more contra dancers, in addition to other folks, to
join us. Since you're members of NoHo Squares now, this means you'll
be representing our group and can help encourage people to join us. I
encourage you to where your badge, so people can ask you questions
about NoHo Squares and Western Square dancing in general.

I had planned to list who I knew was coming and would participate in
the demo, but unfortunately my email is currently down and that is
where the info is. I know that 4 people said they could do it (and I
still have your info, so no need to respond again). Seth, Lisa (the
caller), and myself can also participate. We can have more then one
square and I encourage current graduates of our club to join in on the
fun - don't worry if you're rusty, we'll get you through it... it will
only be one or two demos and you're part of the club so it'd be great
to have you in the demo. If you can be part of it, please let me know,
so I can count how many dancers we have to know if we have enough.

If you've never tried contra dancing before, you're in for a treat.
It's a great energetic form of dancing that utilizes some of the more
basic modern western moves. I'm sort of repeating some of my last
email, so I won't say too much more other then you need no experience
what so ever to start contra dancing - so don't shy away from Sunday.
:) Having modern western experience will make it much easier for you
and I think you'll really enjoy it. Part of the fun of contra dancing
is the live music and Crowfoot is a top notch band.

Once my email is back up (hopefully by the end of day Wednesday) I'll
send out another email with our fall start dates and our monthly dance
dates.

Feel free to contact me with questions - if you want to hear back from
me before Thursday, it's best to call. I look forward to seeing you
all on Sunday!
